After 12 hours of active labor, Jo still had not dropped and I wasn't dialating, not even 1cm! Even with Pitocin and walking and moving around, Jo's position (transverse- head down, but on her side) still had not changed. My water had now been broken for almost 13 hours and to decrease risk of infection, my nurse midwife said that a c-section was the best way to go. Within about 20 minutes of receiving that information, Jo arrived perfectly healthy! :)
